I have Norton Internet Security installed. Long ago I configured it to perform a full scan of my PC every Friday night, starting around midnight. Then I noticed the Norton Security process keeps the PC extremely busy until around 11am on Saturday.
So I've been trying to re-schedule the full scan to start several hours earlier (using Settings --> Task Scheduling) - but it's still behaving the same and keeping the PC busy until around 11am on Saturday, as if I change nothing.
What am I doing wrong?
It's now Saturday morning here and IT WORKED!
Nitsan:
Just wondering why 2 different dialogs show different hours.
Sorry, I do not schedule any Norton tasks/scans.
As far as I know.
Settings --> Task Scheduling is only for the listed tasks.

Sorry, I don't know why Settings -> Task Scheduling mentions "and in it's Full Scan". Unless the checked "Tasks" are also run during a Full Scan. IDK.

Please post back progress. Thanks
Ok thanks - apparently I do have the new interface. Just wondering why 2 different dialogs show different hours.
I followed the above suggestion and waiting for the coming weekend to test.
Nitsan:
1) What is "Norton 360 Classic view"?
2) When I try: Tray -> Norton Internet Security -> Security tile -> Scans --- I don't see any "Edit Scan to your preference"...
Hopefully, you're running Norton 360 - branded Norton Internet Security.
Switch between the My Norton window and Classic view

1) Classic view: Security tile -> Scans -> Custom Scan -> Go

2) Do you see Edit Scan pencil? -> click pencil

Edit Scan -- with your preferences -- Next -> Save
