Can anyone “Add a Shortcut” when on a New Tab in Norton Private Browser? I can’t. The box opens-up and allows me to enter the shortcut name and URL, but when I then click the “Add Shortcut” button, the box closes but no shortcut appears! In Chrome, it looks the same, but the shortcut does get added. Here is another difference, when you enter the URL in Chrome, it will immediately let you know if it is already a shortcut. Private Browser doesn’t.
Been on Facebook with support for over 1/2 hour, but getting nowhere.
OMG! After 45 minutes on Facebook with support, I finally got the answer. Apparently Private Browser only allows 6 shortcuts! Unbelievable, you would think there would be some message displayed when I tried to enter another one! Chrome allows more than 6. I’m so annoyed right now, I’m wondering why I use it?
BTW, here’s a follow-up message I got from them. “Norton Private Browser has the limitation because unlike Google chrome it is not for every website”. I don’t understand that statement, do you? Makes me wonder about what other limitations it has we don’t know about.

How did you enter more than 6? And if you tried to enter another, do you get the same reaction I described where it allows you to enter the info but then nothing happens?
Wow! And considering others have experienced this issue and Norton Support stated they only supported 6 shortcuts, this is just crazy! Did you have 10 different URLs?
Wow, this is baffling! If it was “just me” having the issue, we could always blame it on some sort of corruption. But others have the same issue, and you are allowed to enter more than what the supposed limit is. As many software issues as I’ve debugged over the years, this one has me stumped.
I think this just points back to a rather shoddy job by Norton, which is surprising. It’s like they subcontracted out this job and didn’t really test it. I’ve been using Norton products for almost 40 years now, and never ran across anything like this.
