Trying, unsuccessfully, to uninstall Norton 360

I’m trying to install my new Norton but it is asking me to uninstall the previous one.

It wants me to uninstall Norton 260 (22.24.8.36).

I have tried several methods:-

  • uninstalling in the apps page in settings
  • uninstalling vis windows + R
  • downloading the Norton remover tool
  • using safe mode remover
  • disabling windows defender
  • manual clean up

I’ve restarted each time to see if that helps.

Is there anything else I can do?

When you used the Norton Remover tool did you use the Remove Only option?

What Windows version are you using?

Try using the Revo Uninstaller program to completely remove it, even the leftover files.

@Lynsey_Fletcher The version you are removing needs the older removal tool to accomplish. Please use this version:
