Ts2upd.exe (Trojan.Ransomlock.Q) - Is this a False Positive?

This executable file is in all the Sims 2 games, in the tsbin folder.

I attempted to start The Sims 2: Mansion and Garden (which is the latest expansion pack I own) and it froze during the intro animation (this game has been installed on my PC for the last 4 years, without issue). I searched the internet and came across a few people who posted about their anti virus quarantining the ts2upd.exe file and some even bought a second copy of the game, thinking somehow theirs had become infected, only to have their anti virus again delete the file after they installed it. Some took the chance to restore the file and their game worked as before.

So I checked my Norton quarantine and no surprise... it was sitting there as deleted on Sept 20, 2013.

Norton lists it as a Trojan.Ransomlock.Q

Since the ransom lock virus seems especially horrible, I didn't want to restore this file until I got some feedback from the Norton community, instead of the hearsay of various sims 2 message boards.

tl;dr: Can I safely restore the Sims 2 file (ts2upd.exe) from the NIS quarantine or is it actually infected with the Trojan.Ransomlock.Q?
