I am having issues with windows 11 time sync. I want to turn off Norton temporarily to make some changes. How do I turn it off.
Hello @JohnG_Ray
Temporarily deactivating Norton’s Auto-Protect feature is possible for troubleshooting purposes, but remember to re-enable it afterward to maintain your computer’s security. This can be done through the Norton product interface, and the steps vary slightly depending on your operating system. The process involves accessing settings, finding the Auto-Protect option, and selecting a temporary deactivation period. Always re-enable the feature when finished.
To temporarily disable Auto-Protect on Windows, you’ll need administrator access. Right-click the Norton product icon in the notification area of your taskbar, then select “Disable Auto-Protect” and “Disable Firewall.” Choose a duration for the deactivation in the Security Request window, and click “OK.”
Hey! To temporarily turn off Norton, right-click the Norton icon in the system tray > click “Disable Auto-Protect” > choose how long to turn it off. That should do it!
