thankyou Larry01
Hi Larry01:
Welcome to the Norton User Forums!
Please visit the Kaspersky Labs website and use their removal tool.
You can find it at this link here. You don't want to run two realtime AV products simultaneously.
When complete you should reboot. Then NAV or NIS 2010 should function normally.
Please let me know if this solves your problem.
Thanks.

Thanks for the info have found the utility kavremover10.exe. Should i disable Norton first?
Thanks Larry01
Hi Larry01:
I would think not, becuase they have their own separate internal structures.
Give it a shot.
Hi Larry
After you remove the other Antivirus program thoroughly, I would then uninstall your Norton product and reinstall it while you are offlne. I am saying this because the install of your Norton product may have been faulty because the other software was installed also. If you follow this procedure, then you know you should have a good install of the product.
Hi Larry01:
I would recommend continuing as per my original posts.
If there is a problem, I would do what floplot said, using the NRT (Norton Removal Tool) not add/remove programs.
There is a specific procedure (and concerns) for this.
Post back and let us know first how everything is working, before we do that.
Just my opinion.

I would consider following floplots suggestion. 64 bit can be quite fussy still. The idea is to get a clean install of Norton without time consuming corrections later. JMHO
Ran the the utility , no problems . Will keep an eye on it before doing a reinstall just to see.
Thanks all for the help
Larry01
Hi Larry01:
Glad that all is working.
If a problem comes up we can do the NRT procedure. No worries, we will walk you through it.
Please let us know in this thread. :0)
Hope that this solves your issue.
