Un-deliverable e-mails being 'returned' to me

Someone is using my e-mail address to send of lots of, I suspect, spam e-mails.  I don't click on them when they return, I just delete them in case I do more harm than good..  I reckon to get about 200 each day.  I'm assuming that their content is predictable.

I have two concerns.  That friends of mine are getting them and think they're from me; no come-back so far though.  And that this isn't going to go away in a hurry and there's nothing I can do about it unless I de-activate that e-mail address, which is not ideal.

I could set up a rule that sends them to an inbox folder or just straight to the junk/trash folder but then I might miss an e-mail whose address I've mis-typed and I'd never know it got bounced.

Can my NIS2012 provide a cure here?

I'm pessimistic.
