Unable to add phone number to Identity Protection

I want to add my information to the "Monitored Information" section in "Identity Protection". However, when I try to add my cellphone number, it says that the number needs to be "between 9 and 15 numbers". However all numbers in my country (Costa Rica) are 8 digits long. There's no area codes, in case you're wondering.

So what now? Do I just get left out of this benefit?

DVargas:

For some reason Norton Support called unprompted about this issue. They do not resolve this. They stated since my phone number is already on their files when I placed my order, "it's already protected", but this still does not resolve the problem. They also said if I want to add a new phone number, I need to call them and give it to them directly.

This is by no means a satisfactory solution to what very clearly is a poorly designed web form.

PD: Adding a number in front or at the end of the actual phone number does not work since the website rejects the number vaguely saying "there was a problem adding the number".

Thanks for posting progress.

not sure how adding a 0 at the will do anything ( will be someone elses number)

only thing i can think of is add 01 at the start of you number and see if that works

Okay...I was thinking 506 is Costa Rica.  506 with 8 numbers is legit Costa Rica phone number.
I was thinking the 0 at the end would not be used.   Just my thinking.

Maybe, you'll have to ask Norton Official Support

It's not a bad idea, but it would mean that Norton will be monitoring a phone number that's not mine and thus I may never get an alert if there is some sort of data breach.

Maybe, add a 0 at the end.  Eight numbers and a place holder?

Does your phone number with a 0 at the end register as a valid number?
