Unable to add Second Parent.

In Norton Family, I added a parent (me), I setup the Child's profile,  and I added the agent to my child's iphone.  So far, everything works as advertised.  I can monitor my child anywhere and it works like a champ.

The problem I have is when I try to add a second parent.

On the "Configure Family" page, there is a button to 'Invite Parent'.  Using this will send an automated email to my wife's laptop.  When I open that email on her laptop, the instructions are only two steps:  "1.) accept link; and 2.) Log in; and then check the child's activity."  That's essentially all the email says.

I click the link.  I then log in (with my wife's credentials).  But there is no Child profile or any other device info.  It is at a setup screen for a NEW family (not an existing one).  

I spent almost 2 hours on a live chat with Norton support and nothing was resolved.  I was basically told to simply set everything up a second time; but from the wife's computer rather than mine.  But that doesn't work.  I can't download the agent to the child's iphone...because it's already installed there.

So how does the second parent connect to the existing device of the monitored child?

(I sure hope I'm missing something simple.)
