Dear Norton Team,
I have booted and used NBRT successfully on several computers in the past. But I am unable to boot it (USB stick or DVD) on the following laptop :
Brand: Panasonic
Model: CF-LX6
Operating system : Windows 10
BIOS: UEFI
BIOS version: V2.11L12
BIOS configuration: 0013-0000-0011
Embedded controller: V1.00L11
Intel(R) ME Firmware: 11.6.1.1142
Optical drive: internal "DVD Multi" drive
Antivirus software: Norton Security Standard
I have tried both NBRT on a USB Stick and on a DVD. I have tried changing many parameters alone or in combination:
- secure boot: disabled or enabled
- boot mode: normal or compatible
- UEFI Priorities (system boot order): for the first position, I tried the USB stick (only available when the USB stick is plugged before the BIOS starts) but not the DVD because it doesn't appear as a possible boot media.
The NBRT on the USB stick was probably downloaded at the beginning of this year and the NBRT on the DVD was downloaded yesterday.
Could you please help me boot NBRT ?
Thank you.
Best regard.

Indeed peterweb. Disabling "secure boot" in the bios will allow it to bypass the UEFI blocking legacy boot. Cheers!!
@peterweb :
- thank you for the information about the Virus Protection Plan but I would like to stick to NBRT ;
- yes, my guess is that the "compatibility" mode is the name Panasonic gives to the legacy mode.
@ any other member : do you have any clue as to why I cannot launch NBRT on this laptop :
My two theories so far are :
- the Panasonic CF-LX6 is a new computer; it might have new hardware that is not yet supported by NBRT ;
- the virus might have compromised the UEFI BIOS, preventing NBRT to start.
Could you help me ?
Thank you.
Best regards.

Not a help with NBRT, but if you feel you have an infection you need help with, you can contact Norton Support and ask for the Virus Protection Plan. They can remote into your system and try to remove what regular scans could not.
EDIT
You mention boot options as Normal and Compatibility. Is Compatibility the same as Legacy vs EUFI? I have seen where you need the Legacy boot option for NBRT to work.
Dear Norton Team,
I am updating my original post. In addition to the DVD (NBRT downloaded yesterday) and the USB key (NBRT downloaded a few months ago), I tried an other USB key from an other brand with an NBRT downloaded yesterday.
I had no more luck booting up NBRT.
I really need your help.
Thank you
