The issue is with the Win10 PC Norton360 desktop App., I made a name and email change in my account and everything was applied and saved. It was a seamless process online using Firefox Sign in to my Norton on the internet worked Properly.
The Desktop N360 Failed to sign me in. After a complete NRnR and then Launching the Classic View or the MY Norton View, I attempt to sign in, to launch the password manager from Norton 360 desktop app. The program fails to connect to Norton servers and posts the sign in window "Unexpected Browser error." Consequently I am Unable to Access The password manager, from within Norton 360 desktop App. Please create a global fix and update Norton 360, as this problem is prolific. Just search Norton support.
I've been a Symantec customer since the mid 1990's and have relied on Norton security and AV for most of that time as well. This problem has happened to me in the past and I don't know how I got thru it. My dogged persistence just clicking on sign in multiple times it finally connected or it may been some other variable that I tried (there were many) and didn't make notation. Here we are again, like last time others have the same issue.
I'm currently running Norton 360 version 22.21.5.44: Win10 Pro V. 20H2 Build 19042.1052 Hardware: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700 CPU @ 3.60GHz, 16.0 GB (15.9 GB usable), SSD Toshiba 2 TB everything is updated and current.
I tried removing my favorite browser Fire Fox since I read somewhere that it caused issues while being the default browser. I then Made Chrome Default and no joy there, I then made Edge the default and again NO JOY!
There is clearly an issue with Norton Browser settings and connecting to its server from the N360 desktop app, so I tried disabling all features of N360, again NO JOY! Then tried turning off certain rules within the app like the browser intrusion protection and again NO JOY!
So Here is where I have come to plead for help! Please HELP ME! My obsessive compulsive disorder is in high gear and I can't sleep while this issue persists.
Sincerely Soaring Eagle

In my prior postings concerning this very same issue for the past six months but, today, I am able to "connect to the Norton server after performing a complete recovery of Windows 10 operating system. I am not suggesting this resolution for anyone else because, as you may be aware, you will need to restore files, documents, games, etc. Just a thought should all else fails.
@wordplex4aaf
Curious, had you previously tried Internet Explorer "Restore advanced settings"? &or Internet Explorer "Reset"?

All: Maybe clearing DNS cache will help. Open an elevated command prompt ( run as admin ), clear the DNS Cache with this command syntax: ipconfig /flushdns.....press enter. Restart the computer and try to duplicate the issue again.

Thanks for the suggestion...unfortunately it didn't solve the issue.

I have viewed those posts and they might be similar in nature but My computer and the N360 is not crashing or locking up. My computer is not set to fast reboot either. shut down is complete. reboot is around 12 seconds fast enough for me.
what more can I offer to help diagnose this issue? The online route to sign in to my account or password manager works properly.
The Win10 Desktop N360 App is missing code instruction to connect to the server. IMHO. However the app is updated and all virus def's are up to date, live update works properly, the front page indicates my subscription is "active" everything works except signing in and no access to the password manager.
