Unable to delete my Norton account and data

I've been trying to delete my Norton LifeLock account and personal data but have been unable to do so. When I'm logged into my account and navigate to My Account > Privacy Options > Delete My Data, I receive the following error:

Delete My Data

We've encountered an error

Our servers couldn't complete your request. Please visit our Services Status Page for more information, or contact Member Services & Support.

Chat support was unable to help and directed me to phone support. Phone support was unable to help and told me it can only be done on my end and to keep trying. I have been refreshing and trying to Delete My Data on the same My Account page and still getting the same error.

Please help.

Thanks

I get the same message for "Delete My Data" and I definitely don't have a open subscription or support case.

Have you allowed all Norton subscriptions to expire without renewing? That is what is meant by "open subscription". As long as you have an active Norton product, you cannot remove your account details.

LM_034:
1) So what exactly does the legal requirement mean?
2) Or rather: for how long will I not be able to delete the account?
