I’m unable to download the Norton app. I get an error response “We weren’t able to verify your downloader.” Error 800b0004 Digital signature could not be verified. Norton tech support wanted to remote into my PC, which I’m not comfortable with, and kept telling me to go to websites that weren’t valid. Any help will be appreciated.

I have this issue too. The message is on the My Norton Downloader page and says: We weren’t able to verify your downloader. Send an error report and continue for more help with your installation. Error: 800b0004 - Digital signature could not be verified. I sent the Error Report several times. Tried to skip several times. Uninstalled Norton, rebooted the computer, tried to reinstall with no luck.

I have the same problem on Windows 11. Support wanted to remote into my PC, but I don’t have time for that. I see that the problem occurs on multiple devices. If I don’t have time and Norton doesn’t find a solution, I think I will gradually switch to another antivirus.

I think i found the answer! at least it worked for me. Go to the Microsoft store and get Norton 360 from there. then you can sign in and activate your subscription with the product key
