Unable to install Norton Security on my new Windows Surface Laptop (Snapdragon ARM cpu)

Try to install NIS or Norton 360 on my new Windows 11 Home Windows Surface Laptop (Snapdragon 12-Core Arm Cpu, 16GB RAM) - installer errors with “this app cannot run on this device”.

Installer runs on other machines, have a licence free and Windows Home (not S mode).

Please advise - or do I need to find another AV solution for this new device?

thanks in advance team.

any pre-installed device security (trialware)?
installer pulled from your Norton account?

@Paul_Graham1 Please review this older post. The app from the Microsoft store is what you need to use:

You’re reporting → installing Norton device security app from Microsoft Store did not work for you?

You’re reporting → contacting Norton support did not work for you?

The Microsoft Store app is the only supported Norton software for you to install. Are you logging into the computer as admin? VPN disabled? Ad blockers disabled?

Hi & thanks for all the help. I contacted Norton support, and they advised it was a problem with my licence and the product had expired - they upgraded me to Norton 360 and everything works fine after re-installing from scratch

Kudos :+1:
