Unable to map to USB external drive using Norton 360

I am unable to map to USB external drive connected to BT hub using Norton 360 unless I disconnect smart firewall.

How do I chnage the firewall rules to avoid disconnecting the smart firewall everytime I want to connect to this external drive?

Hi, MG79,

It sounds as though, because the drive is connected through a Bluetooth hub, it's being seen as connected to a network device. That would suggest one of two options:

  1. Open Norton 360 & click "Settings" from the menu at the top. Select "My Network" from the leftmost column on the screen that comes up, then on the line for "Trust Control," click on "Configure," at the right. Identify your Bluetooth hub among the devices along the top, and make sure its setting is to "Full Trust."
  2. If, for some reason, this  does not solve the proble, you  should be able to achieve the same result by  connecting your USB drive directly to a USB port on your computer (or a hardwired Bluetooth hub), transforming the drive you want to use from a network device to a simple peripheral that your firewall won't bother.
