My motherboard had to be replaced and now I am unable to re-install Norton Internet Security 2011. Using the Product tab on my account I see that it is good until next month, but there is no Download option to re-install the application. Any help would be appreciated.
Here's a link to the NIS 2012 version that you can download to a safe place and then run it to install. Your activation KEY for 2011 will activate it for the balance of your subscription.
New NIS 2012:
Click on this link -- NIS 2012 This will download a single file of around 90MB which you should save on your hard drive where you can use it again if necessary -- Do not select Run but use Save when asked and remember where you put it!
If you run into a problem with no more activations let us know and we can give you a link to Customer Support who can sort that out for you.
As per your instructions, I downloaded the .EXE and then ran it. However, I still get the "no more activations" error message even though my account is still listed as valid for several more weeks under my previous Product Code. Any more ideas? I am apprehensive about going on the Internet without any protection anymore.

As Hugh promised, you can contact Live chat, explain the situation to them and they should be able to free up an activation.

Very confusing results of my installation yesterday. Thanks for the live chat link that was necessary for me to clear everything up.
WDS,
Thanks for the feedback -- did you get any idea what it might have been that needed them to fix it? It would help us to help others if we knew a bit more.
I think you may be the second to report such a happening in the last couple of days so I suspect a glitch at their end but if you got any clues .....
Actually, something the live chat person did resolved the problem. As recommended, I downloaded the .EXE and then ran it to install NIS 2012 yesterday. Everything proceeded okay until the very end when I got the "no more activation" error message and was unable to proceed. Afterward, I went to the Norton.com web site, navigated to my "Norton Account" web page and expanded the Products tab to see the details of my account. At that time, it still had my expiration date at next month but with no option to activate the update. When I used the live chat link that you provided today, the Norton representative did something to change my activation status on the Products tab. Wish I could say it was something I did, but the whole process was very confusing and did not work as I expected.
Thanks -- every little helps.
It does sound as if something had gotten out of step between reality and the record ...... but what logged the extra activation could be anything ....
Hope all goes well from now on but you know where we are ....
