I have Norton 360 and it has been blocking several trojans, (Trojan.Gen.2, Trojan.Zeroaccess.B, Trojan.Zeroaccess.C Trojan.Gen) continuously for the last 3 days - approximately every 10 minutes. I have followed all the steps Norton has given me. Full system scan, followed by Norton Power Eraser, and then Norton Bootable Recovery Tool. The first two didn't pick up anything but the NCRT did, however it is unable to "fix" it. I'm now at a loss of what to do now. I have uninstalled any programs which were installed recently which was Adobe flash update of some sort. Cleared any temporary files, or recycled files and run scan after scan but still can't get rid of this.
I'm at a loss of how to get rid of this threat so any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
JD
PS: I have have windows 7, 32-bit Laptop, up to date Norton products
According to both norton 360 and avg it keeps moving. I have attached nortons found threats fyi. I have uninstalled and deleted all adobe files I can find (not through regedit though) yet adobe flash player keeps trying to updateautomatically
I have started in safe mode and tried to scan and both programs say they find the trojan and come back with the responses fixed or resolved or unable to resolve access denied, cant move to vault etc. Short of a complete clean reinstall I am now at a loss. sometimes the so called files that are supposed to be infected do not exist even when hidden files are shown
Until I can get a resolution I am turing off my infected laptop. I will check for your replies or emails on another computer restarting mine when you request it
ANY other user other than the thread starter is not to use any instructions, scripts or proceedures, The work though in cleaning a system is individual and only for that system due to a number of factors.
Unfortunately, with the amount of threads means the waiting time is longer, Norton continually Blocking files won't hurt your system but is is just annoying, Please wait and be patient. I am trying to keep up, spending hours here to script and clean machines on a first come/first served basis. If you or someone adds to your thread It will be pushed back in line due to the new update. I use the boards in reverse to what is seen
Please do not run any tools unless instructed to do so.
We ask you to run different tools in a specific order to ensure the malware is completely removed from your machine, and running any additional tools may detect false positives, interfere with our tools, or cause unforeseen damage or system instability. Do as the instructions ask nothing extra or run things twice
If I ask a Question just answer it, don't run anything unless it states.
Major steps used:
1. Find
2. Break
3. Destroy
4. Cleanup (including system as a whole)
Please read every post completely before doing anything.
Pay special attention to the NOTE: lines, these entries identify an individual issue or important step in the cleanup process.
Logs from malware removal programs (OTL is one of them) can take some time to analyze. I need you to be patient while I analyze any logs you post. Please remember, I am a volunteer, and I do have a life outside of these forum, (sometimes )
Attention to detail is important! Since I cannot see or directly interact with your computer I am dependent on you to "be my eyes" and provide as much information as you can regarding the current state of your computer.
Although zeroaccess is detected I have had to remove more than that on machines, like a Bootkit, BCD fix, partition removal, FakeAV and any other objects as a total clean up.

"you keep mentioning the term "break" what are you refering to?" If you don't know, it is best you don't know.
Download the 2 attached .txt files, and remove the .txt extension so that you have the files end in .reg (ZAFix1.reg) etc.
Then click to run the files and then the system should ask if you want the data added to the registry, answer = yes. A cofirmation message should them appear saying that the data has been added..
The other way is to right click the files and choose "Open With" from the menu, and you should see Registry Editor as an option to choose.
For me this repaired the 2 Windows registry keys in question. So then I could after deal with the rest and also repair broken services.
I downloaded and changed the file extension. The second key worked and was inputted into the registry but the first one comes up with an error: cannot import ... Error accessing the registry.
My computer has stopped popping up with the continual blocks for the trojans and Norton cannot detect anything when I do a full system scan. I'm not sure if the computer is still infected and it's hiding or something. I have deleted anything to do with adobe so I don't know if that got rid of the trojan or not. Now I don't know whether it's safe to reinstall adobe or not.
Perhaps I wasn't clear, adobe was uninstalled and removed prior to any of your responses. I had just realised that I did not write it down in one of my original messages to you so I thought I would let you know, as well as letting you know what my computer has been doing over the last few days since you cannot see it in person. Blame my former post on a night duty brain.
I have only done what you have asked of me since I started posting in the forum. Since my knowledge of computers is limited I am mearly asking any questions or giving any information I think may be relevant, that may assist you, in helping me, clear my computer so I may use it for work and study again.
I realise that you are a volunteer, and I appreciate all the help you have given me so far.
