Since last Friday I have been unable to "connect" Norton Secure VPN, which worked previously and still works on other Mac. When I click "connect" on the Norton quick start menu or "Turn On" next to the Secure VPN option in the Dashboard a popup window tells me that the VPN connection will need to be allowed and to click Allow on the next screen. When I click the "Continue" button on that window it goes gray but another window never opens. So I can't get to the "Allow" option to allow VPN Connection. Please help. Is there another way to open this security option or another way to fix this issue?
I'm having the same issue. Hopefully there will be a fix soon!
This is a known issue, likely widespread. Perhaps Norton will perform an update to fix this issue instead of making each user uninstall/reinstall the app.
Norton posted the following at the top of the Support/Help Center page and posted a sticky at the top of the Norton 360 for Mac page:
If you are experiencing an issue with our Norton Secure VPN on Mac, then please uninstall and reinstall the Norton Device Security app by following the instructions here
I encountered exactly the same issue. Could it be that Norton is censoring us? I use VPN to access websites banned by the you-know-who. And suddenly it is not possible any more.
It reeks of censorship
