Hi zemo333,

Which version of Norton 360 are you running? Please open Norton 360, go to "Help & Support", and then to "About".

Version: 3.0.0.135

Hi zemo333,

The latest version of Norton 360 is version 3.5 - which means that you can upgrade to the latest version (for free). Please do the following: depending on the edition of Norton 360 you have got (Standard or Premier), download the full and latest installation package of Norton 360 from the appropriate link below and save it to your computer:

Norton 360 Standard Edition version 3.5

http://www.norton.com/n360s_3

Norton 360 Premier Edition version 3.5

http://www.norton.com/n360p_3

Then install Norton 360 version 3.5 over your current version. Please post back with the outcome and tell us if this solves the problem.

Hi Zemo333,

Before trying reinstalling Norton 360, try to run LiveUpdate repeatedly until you receive all the available updates. Then restart the computer and try to run Disk Optimization again.

I should have added that if you do not receive the 3.5 patch via LiveUpdate, then you will have to download the installation package and install it over your current version :-)

Also, I did not recommend reinstalling Norton 360 - I suggested upgrading to the latest version (from 3.0 to 3.5). Sorry if that was unclear :-)
