I was on an NIS safe site & went to buy something. Went to checkout & it was not blocked. I went to the PayPal option to see my options & then went back to the checkout page. That’s when the problem began. The checkout page was now blocked by Norton & I got a message “Suspicious Web Page Blocked”.
Norton also gave the option to continue & visit the web page anyway. But when I clicked on that option I got another Norton screen that stated “Page Not Found“, along with suggestions for searching another keyword or trying one of the Norton links below. I tried a couple times with the same results.
I did a live Chat with Norton & the rep suggested clearing the NIS Security History.
I thought I would try one more time while on Chat, but could not open another Firefox browser no matter how I tried. So I signed off & tried Firefox again & got the same results.
I then tried IE, got the “Suspicious Web Page Blocked” then “Page Not Found”. But now the option to visit the web page worked.
I cleared the NIS Security History & tried Firefox again but still no luck.
Is there any way to clear the “problem” web page from NIS?
