Hi,
Having an issue with my Surface 4 PRO, I called Microsoft support. After investigation, they asked me to run Malwarebytes. As a result, 2 malwares were found: PUP.Optional.OpenCandy and PUP.Optional.ProductKeyFinder (see attached file after running Mawarbytes onto my desktop on which are stored most of the same files than those on my Surface 4). At the end, they were not the root of my Surface issue. However this finding made me scratching my head up to the point I would like to get appropriate answer to the three following questions:
1. Is Norton considering these are true malware?
2. Why Norton did not detect these malwares when Norton is running onto my PC for more than 10 years
3. Ransonware is an infection considered as growing and growing. Is Norton ensuring Norton Security is definitely dealing with ransonwares?
Regards,
