Get this! The same fault has just re-appeared. So do I spend another £45 ($100) on getting it fixed again? Does anyone know any addresess to write to for someone at Norton that might give a dam?
Help?
Please explain what is exactly your problem?
Does it go away when you say "fix"?
Hello smithowls,
I'm sorry to hear about your experience. I've asked the moderator to provide you with some information about how to get additional assistance.
In the meantime, can you provide any additional details on the exact nature of the problem the program was having and the product and version you are using?
Thanks,
Matt
A kind person from Norton has just emailed me to offer help. I said:
- Norton Internet Security Subscription this week @ £39.99 ($ 80)
- Norton SystemWorks Basic Edition Upgrade (download) this week @ £10.00 ($20)
- Norton Extended Download Service this week @ £2.99 ($6.00)
- Norton Internet Security 2008 Upgrade @ $49.99
- Norton Extended Download Service (again!) @ $8.99
- Total: circa $160
- The Norton security error comes up as 0x80004003 (3003,220).
- The help desk in India and the Norton technician in Canada were helpful and fixed my system remotely (at charge of £45.00).
- Now the same problem has returned?
All the usual self help fixes didn’t work.
hi smithowls - you mentioned "all the usual self fixes" didn't work - i'm assuming that you did everything in this one:
Phishing Protection Error (3003, 220)
if that doesn't clear it, it's up to Matt I guess. let us know how that goes.
mel
Could you please confirm you did everything as Melodic mentioned ?
Yes Stu. I tried everything. I even defrosted the fridge! That of course didn’t help but it took my mind off the problem at hand! I even considered completing my tax return!

Could you please answer the question by Matt than:

Matt has emailed me and promises to fix the problem remotely later this week.
Thanks for remaining interested
Thanx for your feedback
