Hello @Paul_Graham1

did a clean fresh Windows 11 Pro install and the same problem = My Norton Downloader immediately fails with “unidentifiable error” - click send to report and that fails with “unable to submit error report“ – windows update runs, I’m running 24H2?

Install from my Norton account. i3 24GB RAM running Win 11 Pro 24H2.

W11 in S Mode?
ARM-based device?

your Norton installer is fresh pull from your Norton account?
any reference to Symantec is head scratch
what happens with Skip

Was Norton 360 installed from your Norton account on this machine…before…your fresh W11 Pro install?

and by “clean fresh” you mean…restoring machine to factory out of the box?
and by “clean fresh” you mean…using Windows 11 Media Creation Tool?

What does Norton support say about Unidentifiable Error?
How-To Contact Norton Support

All: The processor is an Intel i3, therefore not ARM based. Windows 11 is Pro version, obviously not in S mode as that is not offered for the Pro version of Windows. My question is what is the FULL version of Windows 11 Pro 24H2? Aka build. Insider installation? Is the Norton installer named “norton_360_online_setup.exe” ? Just some thoughts on the issue.

Hello @Paul_Graham1
Please share your progress.

Hi & thanks for all the help. I contacted Norton support, and they advised it was a problem with my licence and the product had expired - they upgraded me to Norton 360 and I downloaded the new setup program and now everything works fine after re-installing from scratch

Kudos :+1:
