'uninstalled app' alert, but no uninstalled apps?

I had to reinstall the parental control app as it stopped working at one point (I stopped receiving notifications for triggers, but the app continued to work).

Since then, I have gotten two notifications that an app has been uninstalled. The email notification just says 'xxx uninstalled an app, go to the dashboard for more info'

When I check the app on my phone, I can't find anything that says WHAT was uninstalled.

When I go to the dashboard on the website (protection, parental controls, click on child, click view details under apps), I see 0 recently installed apps, and 0 recently uninstalled apps.

The only other time I had gotten an alert from this was on the 18th, as well as today.

Is it possible that norton family is incorrectly flagging updated apps as being 'uninstalled'? That could be the only thing I could think of, because upon manual inspection, I'm not seeing any missing apps on their phone.

Thanks. I will reopen this if this continues to happen.

Hi @wikiwikil,

Thanks for your patience. We have analysed this issue and based on the findings, these alerts are sent for Android system component's install or uninstall events.

We have addressed this issue to filter out system components from notifications.

Please get back if you are still seeing issues.

Thanks,
Norton Family team

Much obliged. If there are any logs or debug info needed from the child device, I would be able to get that for you next Wednesday.

Hi @wikiwikil,

Thanks for reporting the issue. NF tracks only install and uninstall actions done on the child's device and app updates are not considered.

We are investigating this and will get back once we have more info.

Thanks,
Norton Family team
