Hello;
I currently have Norton Internet Security 2012 installed on my computer, together with Norton Utilities v14.5. I will be changing my anti-virus program to another product and wish to completely uninstall Norton Internet Security (emphasis on completely). I understand I can remove all traces in my registry using the Norton Removal Tool, but as I understand it this will also delete Norton Utilities.
My question: can I re-install my version of Norton Utilities after I remove it using the Norton Removal Tool? I have a legitimate copy of the program together with the original product key, but I am not sure if I will be able to re-install and re-activate Utilities after it has been removed from my system.
Thanks very much in advance to those who take the time to respond.
Kind regards,
Tonia

Tonia,
You should have no problems doing what you intend. The first step should be running the Norton Removal Tool. This will clear your system so the new security product can be installed. Reboot and install your security software and then NU. This should limit your exposure to possible infection/corruption/whatever. You will need to reenter your NU key and run live update several times to be sure it is back to current status.

Thanks so much for your reply, Dick. Much appreciated. I'll post back on the forum if I run into any problems.
