I downloaded a trial version of Norton 360. After it expired  I uninstalled it.   I attempted to install another  program and had a problem, so I restored my computer to an earlier date before I installed Norton 360.  When I tried to download a trial version of Norton Internet Security  2009, I received the message that another version of Norton was  on my computer and could not be  removed.  When I tried to uninstall it myself,  I got  the message "system cannot find the path specified".    Can anyone  give me a suggestion on how I can remove this program.

Normally a regular uninstall would be ok. But in this case the NRT tool woulod be right.

Please use this tool

Norton Removal Tool

I would uninstall N360 now, restore the system, and after the restore boot, boot into safe mode and run the Norton Removal Tool ( you can get it NRT here ).  After removal tool, boot into normal mode and install N360.  Remember to backup your Backup Settings in N360 and any other information you want from the current install before starting this process.
