Hi, after getting several errors from my Norton Safety Minder, I’ve decided that I don’t want it anymore installed on my computer but when I tried to Uninstall it I keep getting the same message of “please try again.,be sure to type the correct parent email and password”. I’m pretty sure I’m typing the correct information. I’ve also tried changing my password for something easier (I did that successfully) but I still getting the same message…is there other way to uninstall this program? Thank you…

I am having the same problem with uninstalling. I downloaded the program but could not access it at all. It kept telling me to enter the correct parents email and password which I did but it said are incorrect. I then went to uninstall but you have to go through the same process and it does not let you do anything because it keeps telling me to use the correct parent user name and password. I then tried to remove it with the norton removal tool but it said I have to manually remove Symantec winfax pro first which I cannot locate on my computor so I could not do that either. Please help me uninstall Norton safety minder.

Could you please use the "Forgot your password" link on the login page to retrieve your password first and try again? If that doesn't work, please send your login email address to me by email . You can find my email address by clicking KatieQ on the page.

If you are having difficulties uninstalling the safety minder because of password problems, disconnect the machine from the internet and try uninstalling again.

The problem I have is the same as Bradt. I've retrieved my password and i still having the same problem.. "This computer is not recognize...add to family norton and try again". When I tried to Unistall said the password is incorrect.

Katie, I am having a similar problem, I am trying to uninstall norton 360 and reinstall using the norton removal tool, but it keeps telling me to remove Symantc Winfax Pro with Add/Remove programs, however Symantec Winfax Pro does not appear in this list. How do I find it to remove it.

Please don't use the removal tool for now. Have you tried to follow the instructions at http://community.norton.com/norton/board/message?board.id=OnlineFamily&message.id=1155#M1155 to see if it helps?
