Hi helloanyone,
Please remember that many rootkit scanners are looking only for hidden files. Hidden files, in themselves, are not necessarily malicious. Both of your files would appear to be legitimate, and you should not remove them without further investigation to determine if they are actually malicious. Many legitimate programs, especially security applications use hidden files.
Hello and thanks for the reply, how do I verify whether they are maliscious or not ?
There are some suggestions that I scan with another AV if I look at Wilders or other forums... ?
Thanks
You can research the files online to see if the file paths shown are those of the legitimate files. In truth, if you were rootkitted it is very unlikely that all that would be turned up are two hidden files that almost certainly belong to legitimate programs. Unless you are seeing undeniable evidence of being infected, I really wouldn't bother investigating these any further. Run some other scans, such as with the FREE version of Malwarebytes', and if nothing is found you are probably not infected.
