"Unused Port Blocking" not working anymore?

Hey all,

Ever since buying Nortons Internet security I have always seen tons of "Unused Port Blocking has Blocked Communications" messages in the history page.

At the time I had a wired system in my house were it was just cable modem to computer and nothing else.

Today I installed a Netgear 750 so I could used the Xbox 360, Ipad and PS Vita while using my computer too.

I have installed a wired setup for my computer just like the last few years.

It goes from the modem to the router to my computer.

So the computer is not using the wifi, only the 360, ipad and vita are.

Anyway, all of a sudden my "Unused port blocking" messages have gone away.

Does this mean that all the attacks that were being blocked when I only had the modem setup and now going through and people are getting into my computer?

It used to happen every 2 minutes. Over a hour time frame I would have 30 attempts blocked by Nortons, now I dont see any.

Could the new wireless router be blocking them before they get to Norton?

Could my install of the wireless router drives turned the "Port Blocking" option off in Nortons?

I don't know where to check.

I did look at the "Stealthed Blocked Ports" button and its set to ON. (GREEN)

The main page system status says "SECURE"

In the advanced tab, all the buttons on the right are set to ON. (The power sign)

I just did a scan and it only found the usual tracking cookies and nothing else.

Maybe I'm just freaking out?

Thanks,

Marc
