Recently, I had three issues with Windows 10 Updates, leading to a loss of either Office applications on my Microsoft Surface Book or to a loss of the app arrangements on the Windows start page.
Having discussed these issues with Microsoft Support, they strongly recommended to completely delete all Norton products from my laptop and not to install them again. Reason: Norton would have not enough detailed and deep-enough knowledge about the Windows 10 operating system.
Could I please have a feedback on this matter?
Thanks Naja. I'm not suggesting the OP has Core nor that its or ever was available in the EU. Just the version of the Norton product I have for A/V protection. I also use Office 2010 on all my machines, not having issues.
Cheers

Martin, FWIW, exponding on peter's post, Norton has indeed supported Windows 10 since its initial release to RTM version. The current version on W10 1809, as installed on my systems, is version 44.17763.1.0. Windows updates should deliver that version of Edge for you. The Norton Password manager version is 6.3.0.20 which I believe was released to correct the issue on Edge with password manager. No programs nor icons on either my startup or legacy desktop were/have been deleted. I'm running Norton Core Security Plus with the Core router. Check Windows Updates for the following:

Additionally here is link discussing how to post screenshots directly into your posts here on the forums. Easy as pie!! Most Gurus will forgo downloading zipped file attachments due to the risk they pose. Hope this helps.

What links did you use for your Microsoft support experience? Norton has been protecting Windows computers almost forever. They have as much info on the workings of Windows as any third party developer could have.
If your experience was with a support forum, you will always find Norton detractors that tell you to remove Norton. Check the credentials of the poster, as these are usually just other users suggesting information. Not any official Microsoft poster.
It was the Windows Updates to 1809 that probably caused your issues. Norton would not have been involved.
Hello
I am using Windows 10 Pro. The version is 1809, installed on Dec 26. Subsequently, several functional updates, service updates and security updates followed (see attached file). The update on Feb 13 created the most recent issue of application icons lost on the start page (new set-up as per attachment, all self-arranged icons were lost).
After the Dec 26 update, all MS Office 365 applications were lost (not just the icons). They had to be downloaded again and all settings had to be done new, e.g. all mail accounts in Outlook and separate .pst files.
Regards
Martin
