Upgrade: Better Experience

I am using Windows 11 Pro..
This automatic "upgrade" happened for me, yesterday. Since then I have had more problems than I care to deal with.
I use the Thunderbird email client - as I have been for MANY years and am very happy with it. Now when it opens or downloads new emails from my GMail accounts - Norton keeps telling me I am "about to override how thunderbird identifies this site" ... blah blah blah. The "location" is listed as "apidata.googleusercontent.com" (&) "this site attempts to identify itself with invalid information". I can "Get Certificate" and confirm... But if I do that, the notification just keeps coming back endlessly. If I view the certificate it seems to be in order. If I click "Cancel" the dialogue box goes away.
Even so ALL included images IN ALL emails are being blocked: even though I am allowing remote content. I am not getting any option to allow images to display. And even if I turn OFF the email protection in Norton, nothing changes.
This problem has only started since the Norton"Better Experience" "Upgrade". If this can't be fixed I'm going to need to get rid of norton and go with someone else. This is a damn deal breaker.

{I would insert 2 screenshots but when I try I get a page telling me...

But I keep getting an error dialogue. Big help guys, Big help.}

Please help me fix this.
Thanks
Steve K

Caveat: I've not seen v24.x at this time.

Something weird is going on. I was just about about to finish an update to my last post.... more on that to come.***

The post was about the fact that my PC CRASHED Hard. The whole BSOD thing. and did a restart. Once it came back up all the email problems seem to have mysteriously vanished. No more pop ups, or warnings, and all images now showing... Head scratcher. Did Norton somehow do that, or was in a "coincidence"? Whatever, I'm happy it seems to be working now...

*** now for the more bit. Just as I was about to post that update, my PC CRASHED HARD again... full BSOD. Okay, fingers crossed that this is NOT going to be a problem in the making. It "Seems" to be good...at the moment.

Cheers..I hope.
