Upgrade

Hello,

I would like to know if it is possible to upgrade from Norton 360 2011 to norton 360 2014 version, please advice

Have you just upgraded? Have renewed your subscription? Simply installing a new version doesnot mean that your subscribtion will be renewed. OR Have you purchased the new version? If, yes, then install with the new subscription key.

Have you clicked renew and entered your new key if installing from a disc?  If this is a download from the website, you should have received an email with your new activation key.

Hi Bdale8010,

I second that to huwyngr has said.

However, I would like to ask you, how much of subscription was left when you had N 360 3.0 before installing v4.0 ?

CH33RS!

I recently installed Norton 360 v. 4.0.  I had Version 3.0.  Even though I upgraded, I still keep getting messages that Norton 360 is going to expire in 6 days.  How do I fix this?

Are you still able to purchase OTHER things from Market? Is it possible that there’s a glitch with the instrument of payment your Google account is tied to?

Another possibility: are you outside the United States? There’s limited global availability (16 countries INCLUDING the U.S. right now) that has been discussed here in other threads. The symptoms you’re experiencing seem a bit different from what folks have been experiencing from countries that can’t get it yet (they’re generally NOT SEEING Lite in Market), but I figured I should still put it out there…

Thanks for the response.

I did wonder about the problem being with Google but I had put in my credit card info and it seemed to have accepted it. I did think about trying another cheap purchase just to see.

After you suggested it I went ahead. The authorising process started and went on forever so I cancelled it. I then messed about with my google account and eventually found a bundle of messages about cancelled orders.

So your suggestion is right: the problem seems to be with payments to Google.

In the summaries does it list the reason why the orders were cancelled?  Are you connected via Wifi or 3G?

Just looking at the home page for Norton.com, there is an Upgrade button to start the process. The upgrade should be free for the remainder of your current subscription.

If your current subscription is about to expire, just purchase the new 360 product, and entering the product key into your current Norton product at Help > Enter Product key will initiate the upgrade process. Be aware that if you use this process and purchase directly from Norton the subscription time for the new key will start immediately after purchase. You will lose any remaining time on your old subscription. So do this with only one or two days remaining on the old subscription.
