Upgrading to Windows 7--should I upgrade or clean install?

Hoping I can get info from someone who has done this-- Thinking of upgrading to Windows7–but don’t know whether I should do an upgrade or a clean install. The computer is just under a year old and is running Vista SP2. I ran the Windows Advisor and it said it is compatible with upgrading to Windows 7. I’m worried that I will not be able to find all the needed drivers–emachines is no longer supporting the machine and does not have the compatible drivers for Windows 7 on the machine. I also don’t want to invest all the time in looking for and installing the drivers, if a simple upgrade will work just as well. Vista has worked fine on this PC–if I keep it updated, do I really need to upgrade to Win7? Will you folks at Norton continue to support Vista in the future, making sure that new versions of NIS 2010 are compatible with Vista? pcmom4
