I recently installed the Identity Vault on my iphone4. When I open the vault on the iphone, I get 13 logins whereas opening the vault on my PC yields 49. Also, I have mobile apps installed on the iphone for certain sites like my bank. How can I get the Identity Vault to log on to these sites using the mobile app instead of going to the regular website?
Any help on this would be appreciated. Doesn't seem to be much practical help available for the mobile app.
Are you using a local vault on your PC? It is only the online vault that will show up on your iPhone.
To see if you are using an online vault, look for the Open local Vault link when you try to log into Identity Safe on the PC. If you see an Open Cloud Vault link instead, click on that to see how many logins are shown.
There is no link to either local or cloud showing. Only "Show password hint" However, I am running 21.2.0.38 Version of Norton Security Suite from Comcast. My recollection is that this version uses the Cloud. My real question relates to mobile apps to which a PC login already exists on the login list. If I logon directly from this list, then I get the regular PC website. Logging in from the app gives me a screen adapted to the iphone so I can read it. Apparently the URL is the same in both cases. Do I have to copy and paste the username and password from the vault login list to the sign in on the app in order log into the app?
In regards to your query about the Norton Identity Safe (NIDSAFE) app being able to interact with other mobile apps with login details unfortunately this is not possible.
The subject has come up in the past in the forums and could possibly be something that you could post in the Norton Community Product Suggestions forum -
With the question about copy and paste of login details should be possible and is the only way I know of to use the NIDSAFE app to fill in login details with other mobile apps on your device.

Actually, Comcast does not use a cloud vault, it only uses a local vault. (Something regular 360 users wish they could have ) As such, you will not be able to sync between your PC and iPhone.
The good news is that as long as you are using the Identity Safe browser on the iPhone, you should only need to visit each site once to have that login auto saved. Subsequent visits should log you in automatically.
Thanks for the help. The problem must be that the Comcast version uses a local vault and the iphone the cloud. I don't really remember exactly how I set up ID safe on iphone as that was several weeks ago. I will go forward on that assumption and see what happens. Needless to say, I don't need access to 51 longins on the phone.
