I recently installed Norton PC Checkup which also included Online Family. While the program seems exactly what I need, I'm frustrated in trying to make it work as advertised.
Norton PC Checkup will pop up and run a scan of the system. The only warning message I get is on Family Safety button. When I click on "Show Me How" to resolve the problem, I get the registration form each time. I had already registered and downloaded the SafetyMinder program so it won't let me re-register with the same e-mail and password. If I try to re-register, it indicates it needs to uninstall the SafetyMinder software, but asks for an adult password which does not work (the one I registered with). If I cancel the registration and log in, it takes me to the Online Family webpage for the youth account that I set up previously. However, when I look into his account, it states that he is not currently assigned to a computer. Click here to download and install the Norton Safety Minder on this computer. And when I do, I get the uninstall message again and the cycle continues. It also says I have 5 accounts but there should only be one listed. I'm confused!!
Is there some way I can uninstall the software program and reinstall it again so that all the settings work properly? And how can I get the error message (! on the Family Safety button) to go away when I run PC Checkup?
Gary
I also would like help with this
Hi kthy512,
Thanks for the post. It just shows as a warning message on the result page after you run the PC checkup program, which doesn't prevent you doing what you want to do on the PC, right?
Thanks,
Katie
Yes but it has 7 users listed and there is only one account. What do I need to do?

kthy512,
Could you explain what you meant "it has 7 users listed and there is only one account"?
Thanks,
Katie
Norton PC Checkup does not recognize that I already have Family safe downloaded. I only have one account for one computer that everyone uses.
kthy512,
Thanks for the update. I'll pass along the issue to the management team.
Thanks,
Katie
