After V25 my win10pro started BSOD all the time, for month I tried to find the cause. Norton doesn’t want to say they have a core issue with this version. I suspect it has to do with the RAM protection or/and windows Kernel. I have another PC with win11pro that started freezing or just won’t turn the screen back on after screen power saving mode. Most of the times it didn’t even give a normal BSOD error. I tried reinstalling, changing settings, nothing helped. After using Nirsoft tools, making sure both computers problems are cause by Norton- I uninstalled from both computers, and not a single problem since!!! The only thing tech support (after getting a live person to talk with) is insisting to let them take over my computers to check…I almost thought they started using scammers for help desk!
It seems that they Norton change direction for the worse, unstable software while trying to scare users of paying for additional software to fix other issues. How about fixing what made Norton great before expanding to other software areas! I really don’t want to move to other security software-but I at this point I don’t have too much choices.
I know I’m not the only one with weird crashes and problems with the new V25 interface and core software… But I couldn’t find a single topic with these core issues combined.
I also have a lot of issues on other win10 PCs with false detection as well as excluding them after detection.
Which problems did you encountered?
@Gal_HanemanN I have tagged this thread and added it to the version 25.xx thread where issues with that version are being discussed and tracked. You can get a better idea of what progress is being made by following that thread. An Admin has also been tagged to send the issue in this thread to the team for action on their part.
