Every year when it comes to renewing my Norton Security DELUXE it is the same issue... There is just no fixed price and it drives me up the walls! Lets just look at it...
If I renew Norton Security DELUXE it will cost me R799 ZAR.
If I buy Norton Security DELUXE new with a new license key, then it will cost me R549 ZAR.
If I buy Norton Security DELUXE from my PC supplier, also a new licence key, then I can get it for R245 ZAR!
If I wait until the licence expires entirely, then I will probably get the renewal at half price!
I just don't get it! Why milking your loyal clients like that? Should the price for renewing and staying another year not be the cheapest option? I can just imagine clients sitting with rows and rows of licence keys on their profiles because buying new is cheaper than renewing!
I have no problem paying for my Norton Security DELUXE, but I am questioning this practice! I have several subscriptions for software from various companies and with all of them, as a loyal subscriber, I get it cheaper than what a new package will cost. Sometimes the price is even discounted further if you renew ahead of the time, but not here...
