I'm a developer/vendor and having an extremely serious problem with Norton's. This particular program was developed under Microsoft VB6 and uses Microsoft CDO email. At the point the user attempts to send an email, Norton's (without any warning) shuts the program down, deletes the exe file from its program folder, and then shuts the computer down! No other anti-virus program has a problem with our software. This severe of an action sheds a bad light on both Norton's and our products. I have to recommend that they use another anti-virus software. Why did Norton's take this path and is there a simple fix for our customers to employ?
