Thanks. So far looking OK for me, but not long updated. I do not think I should click solved as I was not the person who originally raised the problem.
Hi All,
We have addressed this issue in the latest Norton release. I would suggest running the live update on your Norton client to ensure that you have the latest version installed, which is Version 22.24.2.6. After upgrading to the latest version, the detection issue should be resolved automatically.
Hi, thanks, I have uploaded screenshots of the Norton message and the file properties to show the certificate.
Regards,
Jonathan
Hi @Ace User,
We are investigating the issue and will get back as soon as we have some updates.
Hi @PearTechnology,
Could you please provide the screenshot of the Norton detection and the digital certificate? Additionally, if possible, could you share the download link for the application so that we can reproduce the issue? Feel free to send the download link via DM if you prefer.
PearTechnology:I have started getting the same type of invalid signature message, although my application is being signed by a different service provider.
I am also a developer and the product is still evolving quite rapidly so is often changed / re-released.

I think this problem only applies to new installation or update of the any software.
It just a matter of time before more developer complaint about this problem.

Ace User:1) The project has been deployed to many users. There will be new update of my software along the way.
2) The reason I purchase digital certificate is to avoid all the problems that common users are facing when they are using any antivirus software.
3) I do not have problem with Mcafee Antivirus.
4) BTW, I only hope the next update will solve this issue.
1) Oh Okay
2) Yes, Thanks
3) I can try to raise attention with Norton. I imagine...Norton will need a sample file.
4) Okay Thanks

Ace User:
Norton will flag the exe as a threat because it cannot read the digital certificate.
My software is still in development, so I cannot report this as a false positive threat.
Is file free n' publicly available?
Care to share file with me (Norton user) via DM? (click bjm_)
Maybe, I can reproduce...my side.
Maybe, I can submit/report false positive.

Sorry, took me awhile to realize you're a developer.
boiler plate:
Sorry, I don't know if "Items to Exclude from" x2 -> Configure... will help your scenario.
As a developer, you need to create a master folder for all your projects. Then exclude that folder and all sub folders from Both items in the image below.

Ace User:You almost hit the spot where you says 4D.exe do not have a valid digital signature.
All the screens shot I showed to you because I have an exe file with a valid digital signature.
Before that, Norton did not complain about my exe file.
