Hello,
I'm reporting what two very important functions and two additional are missing in Norton Mobile Security.
Important:
1) Hard reset protection.
Everything will be removed from Android if thieves use hard reset. Including Norton Mobile Security. Some security companies are offering antiviruses for Android which can use root access if device is rooted to keep the antivirus installed after hard reset is performed.
2) PIN protection.
Users of cloud services or other security solutions have an option to activate a PIN protection. It doesn't allow other people to access an app and make changes if they don't know the security code. If someone steals the device which is in use, there is a probability what the screen is still on and isn't locked and protected. Everyone can access Norton Mobile Security in that case and change its settings. And also uninstall Norton.
Additional:
3) SMS location report.
You can track current location of the device in browser and only if device is online. Symantec may add a feature to send current address where device is located via SMS to trusted phone number. Of course, if this is activated by SMS command. Or also make changing trusted phone number available using SMS command while sending a command to track the device. Phone with trusted number may also be stolen.
3) VPN service.
It's not necessary, but it's very helpful while using public Wi-Fi. Norton Mobile Security should be able to protect user's privacy. Everyone can steal information using special apps installed on their Android device or laptop.
Please note, what competition is already offering services above. As a premium subscription user, I believe what Symantec won't fall behind and will do everything to protect their customers.
I'll be happy if you reply me with your conclusion.
