Video Supervision for Android

I have two sons with the Norton Family app installed on their Android phones. They're both running Android Nougat/7 although they look fairly different since they are both running stock, non-rooted firmware on a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and a Moto G5 Plus, so one has Samsung's Touchwiz UI and the other is fairly vanilla Android.

My question is regarding video monitoring. I can see all the other sections normally, like time & app usage, location, and messaging. However, for both of their devices I am unable to use video monitoring from the parent portal or whatever it's called. I can toggle it on, but when I go to view activity both of their profiles state that they are "not associated with any video supervision supported device."

Does video supervision not work with the YouTube app? Neither of them uses Hulu, but my one son is on YouTube quite a bit. Do I have to do anything else or grant permissions in Nougat to get it working? The only other thing I can think of to do is to disable YouTube and tell him to use YouTube in his web browser. It seems odd to me that he would need to do so since many of the apps generate web traffic via API calls over http and they show up in their browsing history so I would imagine YouTube does the same thing.

Thanks for your time. I searched for this subject in existing threads and have to tip my hat to KatieQ. You seem very patient even with rude & demanding posters.
