thanks for helping in my previous posts.

 

But i wanted to know if i install Vmware or any other virtual box with XP SP3o/s and if get infected with a threat like 

 

tidserv  or zeus  will my original o/s get infected as these Tidserv even seems to tamper the MBr and drop a rootkit I wanted to know if getting infected by any of these threats would cause my orginal o/s harm.

Since the virtual system is on the same hard drive, I think that there is a danger that the main O/S could be affected.  It may depend on what Virtual software is used.  Some users test malware in a virtual box, but have an image for repairs if needed.

Yes, the main operating system is Windows 7.  The solution was to use the remove tool and reinstall on the main operating system after installing Virtual PC.  I do need to also install anti virus software in each virtual machine.
