Just curious, how did you manage to set this up, from what I understand it is impossible to schedule a comprehensive scan, only quick scans in task scheduling, something I am led to believe will be changed in N360 Version 3.

I upgraded to Norton 360 from NIS2007 a few months ago and I recently noticed that I was having problems with IE, popups, slow connection over the last few days. The final clue was when the N360 tool bar wouldn't show up on IE anymore, even with the toolbar option checked.

So I ran a deep scan on the machine using N360 (which is setup for a twice a week) and it found zero issues. I opted to pull out my trusted third party scans, such as F-Secure and Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware. I was shocked at the number of Trojans and Malwares on my machine (I believe it was 20 between the two of them).

Was I ignorant to believe that N360 was capable to find these problems? If if N360 is fully updated with the latest updates?

Thanks,

Really you should report the findings of undetected malware to Symantec.(links can be provided if you need them).

However, the reality is that in my view no AV product is all singing and dancing; or to put it another way the reality is that no one product will pick up all detections of trojans and malwares. If for example you just used F-Secure for a period and then did a check with Norton 360, the chances are that Norton would find files not detected by F-Secure.
