If you use N.I.S. 2008, Virus Definitions are Release at least twice-a-day. symantec are due to Release another Virus Definitons in about a few hours' time (Second Update).
Have you Ran a Full System Scan? If not, I suggest you wait until symantec Release their Second Release of Virus Defintions for July 02 (if you use N.I.S. 2008, that is!).
It was back on 10 June I submiited the virus, also Live Update should run every four hours, by default.
Thanks for the reply :)
When you submit a sample for analysis you should receive an email with a tracking number for the submission. Could you please provide that tracking number so that we can determine the status of your submission?
Thanks

Tracking numbers supplied, but since edited 07/10/08.
So, your last Full System Scan was on June 10? If so, Update your Product - via LiveUpdate - and Run a Full System Scan.

No, I submitted the virus to Symantec on June 10. I frequently run LU and do a Full System Scan, thanks.
Just curious did you send the file only once?
No, I sent the file twice, along with other files that were generated by this virus, which are malicious.
with what time difference?
Did you receive the same answer?
A few days apart. Did not receive any answers, apart from acknowledgment of my submission and a reference number, auto generated a few seconds after my submissions.
In the meantime, many Norton users have this infection on their systems, while other Security Suites are protecting their users against it.
I've gone off Symantec a bit after this.
Hi johna,
I'm not sure if you've seen this on the Symantec site, but here are the removal instructions for this particular Trojan:
http://www.symantec.com/security_response/writeup.jsp?docid=2008-061015-4339-99&tabid=3
Is this the Trojan you have on your system? Please let me know if you've tried these steps, but they were not effective in removal. Thanks!
