Hello, I'm kinda new here (but had an ID, so must have been here a long time ago). Thank you in advance for any direction (I did search forum, but most relevant threads were quite old)
Situation - am upgrading (Custom Install required) from Home Premium Versions of Vista (32 bit) to Win 7 (64 bit). While reviewing W7 Upgrade Advisor Report, I noticed I had some expired Norton programs (had assumed they'd be deleted when I installed next one, obviously not). I'm thinking I should cleanup this mess before starting my upgrade, and maybe get rid of other programs I never use.
Current Norton product is "Norton Security for one device). (From my "All Programs List", I found obsolete ones: a Norton File folder, Norton AntiVirus, Norton SystemWorks; all these have creation dates earlier than my current Norton Security product).
QUESTION: Is it safe to uninstall all the obsolete ones? Any special way I should do it? (Microsoft basic Control Panel Uninstall?) I'm not high tech, but am good at following directions so am trying to proceed carefully.
