VPN causes google searches to break

I use my iPad a lot, and with that, having norton’s VPN installed, keep getting different hiccups when searching with google:

Our systems have detected unusual traffic from your computer network. Please try your request again later.  Why did this happen?

Or

So one blocks my search request and the other one requires a reCAPTCHA to continue.

I am not too worried about the latter, but if I need to look up something quick, then having to wait until whatever time google considers “later” is not acceptable. Norton/Symantec needs to work something out with google concerning their VPN and connectivity.

If there is a workaround that does not require turning off VPN, then please let me know about it.

When using a VPN, some services, like Google, will detect that there is an access request for your information from a location you are not usually in. I had this issue with my Gmail, and had to keep letting Google know it was me.

Try setting your virtual location to be in the same country you are actually in. That seems to have fixed the issue for me.
