VPN Connection Frequently Drops

Issue abstract: VPN connection drops

Detailed description: My need is to connect to any server in the UK. I can connect without issues, almost immediately, in fact. But the connections drops and I get disconnected from the program I am using. I can reconnect to the same or a different server in an instant, but there is no consistency on how long the connection will last.

Advice and suggestions greatly appreciated.

Product & version number: VPN Version 4.2.0.20240821.369

What is the error message you are seeing?

If you have any supporting screenshots, please add them:

Are you in the UK or are you trying to access UK sites from another country?

Is there a specific app you are using when this issue appears?

Do you also have Norton 360 installed? If so, do you see the same issue if you use the VPN feature in 360? It is not recommended to have both apps installed as this might cause strange behaviour such as you are seeing.

Hello PeterWeb.
Thank you for replying to me.
I do NOT have Norton 360.

I listen to BBC Sounds. www dot bbc dot co. uk /sounds

It is an iphone app that, you guessed it, plays UK radio stations. The majority of it I can listen to through any device but some programs are available for UK only.

As I originally posted, I can connect to a UK server in less than 3 seconds. I have no idea why or when the VPN connection will drop and I will be disconnected from the app. I can reconnect to the same or new server again, within seconds.

It is just a pita.
Thank you!

Many users report the BBC sites do not like VPN’s.

Many web sites do not allow access from known VPN IP addresses. They do this for copyright, legal, security, and political reasons. There is nothing a VPN provider can or should do to circumvent these legal protections. See this How to Geeks article. https://www.howtogeek.com/403771/why-do-some-websites-block-vpns/

Ok, I understand what you are saying.

I spend many months in the UK and will start listening to something and want to finish listening to it here in the USA. Sucks for me. haha

Thank you very much for the time you took to respond and help me.
