Norton 360/My Norton/Whatever you wanna call it!
Windows 10
After downloading the 22.20.1.69 update, I've noticed we no longer get the separate VPN window pop up. I wondered at the time how we would know if it was running okay and not quietly shut down in the background?
Fast forward to today, and after spending a few hours working, surfing etc I just happened to click on My Norton and sure enough, under Secure VPN was the status that my connection was unprotected and the VPN had turned itself off at some time.
I didn't see any warning or pop up that this had happened. I had left my laptop for half hour and the screensaver had kicked in so it could have happened then but even still, shouldn't there be some notification come up to let you know? (And stay there until you click on it as acknowledgment)
Also, I see NordVPN has an autokill if it loses connection. Is that not something (all) VPNs should have as standard?
Norton 360 Deluxe installation - discovered that if VPN is on and computer goes to sleep or I turn it off, the internet connection is disconnected. My work around will be to turn off VPN before letting the computer go to sleep or shutting down. If this is what must be done to use the Norton VPN, then it is a nuisance and I probably will not use it.
