What is the error message you are seeing?

If you are looking at the network icon in the system tray, it may be normal for the VPN connection you are using to change the icon to an Ethernet icon. Norton’s VPN used to do this on my Win 10 system. If you hover your cursor over the Ethernet icon it should show the information for your Wifi connection.
