VPN-not working since update 22.20.1.69 "connection failure" error

I lost VPN functionality after installing the last update (22.20.1.69)

There should be a solution to that problem, at least let me use the previous version which was working fine

Windows 10 Home, Version 1909 (OS Build 18363.628)
My ISP: Earthlink
Norton 360, Version 22.20.1.69

I lost VPN functionality after installing the latest update (22.20.1.69) with the following error:
"Connection Error
Secure VPN has experienced a connection failure. Please try again later."

Before the update to v22.20.1.69, Secure VPN was working. I have since used Norton Remove and Reinstall (NRnR.exe) in the hope that a fresh installation of Norton 360 would resolve the problem. I still can not use Secure VPN. Windows Device Manager reports that the Symantec TAP Driver is working properly.

Thank you for your advice, but none have resolved the connection failure.

As it states at the top of this thread highlighted in RED "This forum thread needs a solution."

Customer support told me: "Unfortunately we do not have a solution for my case". As my problem is related to my internet ISP

But the older version was working fine, so give me the ability to switch to it.

Same problem

Same here.

I have the same problem.

Will have to look for another VPN

Hi there,

Sorry none of the above worked. Thanks for the help though.

Like someone else has said I willl have to find another VPN.

I agree also.. Tech support is giving me the run around.. However I am sure it was the patch that broke the VPN..If they can't fix this I am cutting my losses with norton after over 30 years..

I agree. We don't seem to be hearing anything from Norton  regarding this problem other than "Try again later".

I have the same problem.

One of the support agents called me and told me that Norton has applied the most secured VPN protocol in the new version and my ISP is blocking that protocol. So, unfortunately, they can not help me  sad I have to find out another VPN provider

  See if this helps:

FWIW ~ my Connection Error with 22.20.1.69 was sorted by realizing that my router Firewall security setting at High was causal.
